if you happen to see a naked person in the Philippines 99% probability is that person is not in his 100% sanity. I am sorry to know that you have this kind of experience to see such. I'm sure it's not normal here.

About the naked man, it’s illegal. The man probably have mental issue. Sometimes in the US, you can see man peeing or popooing in the middle of the street in broad daylight. But that’s not common in America. Maybe you will see it once or twice in your lifetime. Welcome to the Philippines. Welcome to the world. Intramuros and Fort Santiago is a treasure of Manila.

The so-called sauces are compotes, jams, honeys actually and pair well with cheeses; when they bring you the cutting board, you should be eat, if you like, together (the sweet/salty contrast goes well). Usually in good places, when they bring you the cold cuts and cheese board, tell you with which cheeses is best to starting (from less intenses to the strongest) and also, as already I wrote, which "sauce" to pair them (not everything goes with everything). I hope you understand despite my English. 🍺

I have worked out of the Turks and Caicos Islands over the years. They have much bigger issues with crime (from the belongers) as they call themselves then a tourist carrying a bullet. (look up the gang shooting about a year ago of a tourist) So don't let this slide by you even if they have repealed the law back. They don't like tourists overall and they have many other reasons to arrest and detain tourists. Remember that if you are arrested and no public outcry happens you will end up staying in jail unlike these folks. Better to travel somewhere else. Not that much here anyway and expensive. But to be fair about the islands they are beautiful. Too bad about the government.

I think I’d prefer surprising than shocking. And the food I think is about “ to each his own palate.”I’m glad that you are enjoying the Philippines. As for that naked guy, he is probably mentally sick or drunk. That’s not an every day occurrence.

When I was on my teens, when I was living in the Philippines, I lived in an area that is next to a slum area, and there are these 2 brothers that were quite famous in our town/area, they were mentally ill that lived in the slum, and they walk around naked and dirty on the streets, around the area. People will just stay away from them, they are usually aloof, quiet and stayed away from people, never violent, so no one bothers to report them. But yeah, it is illegal to be naked in public, I don't even know if we have nude beaches in the Philippines, and that guy is either mentally ill or high on drugs.

Honestly, this country should replan the roads, minimize motorbikes and ban food preparation on the street than it would be a country worth traveling to because the cuisine is very rich there and nature is so beautiful

I can really see how you liked your experience in the Philippines. I’m from Manila, born and raised there, and I’m really missing my hometown. Watching here from Long Beach, CA. I’ve been watching foreigners in the Philippines lately and just realized how Philippines is such a beautiful and how pleasant the people have been. I am really getting homesick whenever I watch foreigner’s vlog featuring the Philippines. Glad that a lot of them are all-praised for the beauty of the country and especially the lovely people. Only on UA-cam I’ve seen many of the nicest places in the Philippines which I haven’t been to in my life. I’m a proud Filipino here in the US seeing the foreigners just love the Philippines.

The Philippines is a safe country...even if you walk the streets of Tondo, a slum distrct of Manila you will be n might even be surprised to find friendly people smiling at you..,several foriegn vloggers go to this part of Manila n are surprised that stories that this place is unsafe is not true n is quite the opposite....Manila is even safer than Rome, Madrid or London where there are many pickpockets or the main streets of Seattle or San Francisco where there are a lot of homeless people n drug addicts on fentanyl roaming the streets if these cities....

Too bad u missed Tagaytay City just like many foreign tourists do, where it’s usually Manila then the islands, we have the most breathtaking lakes, volcanoes and mountains too. Tagaytay city is home to the best views in the world (Starbucks view) the smallest active volcano in the world and it’s only 2 hrs away from Manila by bus. A volcano within a lake within a volcano within a lake and next to it are the most stunning white sand beaches, full of pine trees and restaurants, theme park, mushroom burgers, alamid coffee, home made hot chocolates and the famous Bulalo soup and Buko pie, mango tarts, fruit tarts etc.

I'm sure that naked person you saw was mentally deranged. We have surely some of them around the country somewhere. We have a few Mental Hospitals, but usually families don't bring family members over there, and just take care of them at home. Once I even chanced upon a mentally challenged man and woman in all there naked glory doing 'IT' at the side of a busy city street.. with people laughingly gawking at them in disbelief! They finished amidst the chaos before authorities came, and while the man was sprawled in the pavement, the woman kept harping for another round! The crowd dispersed laughingly when policemen arrived!

Filipinos are generally very helpful with foreign visitors, it is part of the welcoming culture, so it goes without saying that whenever you're not sure on how to eat or what to do with certain items you got on your plate, just ask the server or a nearby local and most of the time, they will gladly help..

HI! Thanks for your positive experience back in my homeland, except for the guy who flashed (or not) on you 😁. My bet is that, the guy is most likely suffering from mental health issues alongside neglect by his immediate family. That incident is not something you see usually, especially in the rural areas. Heck, the country does not even have a publicly know nudist spots or beaches, despite of the many remote islands that the country has.
